DESCRIPTION OF NORTHGATE
Northgate is located on the East side of Highway 25, across from the Air Force Academy. It is in between homes in Monument Colorado and the North part of homes in Colorado Springs. School age children attend award winning District 20 schools. Based on test scores, it is one of the top 3 districts in Colorado Springs.
The median household income is $85,616 and there are 2897 households currently in Northgate. The population is around 3,255.
Most of the properties are newer, mid 1980’s and above. Some of the lots have ¼ acre plus. There are several new home builder subdivisions that include Greyhawk, Gleneagle, Sun Hills, Struthers Ranch, and Tall Grass. Builders in these areas include Richmond, John Laing, Classic, Goetzmann, Saddletree, and Lennar.
FOX RUN REGIONAL PARK
This El Paso County run park is north of Northgate in Black Forest. Situated among a forest of ponderosa pines, visitors can view foxes, deer, birds, and the popular black colored squirrels with the pointy ears called Abert squirrels. There are 2 small lakes called Aspen and Spruce Lakes. One is stocked with fish, so bring your fish food. There are also 2 self-guided interpretive trails that circle the lakes. In addition, there are four miles of other multi-use trails to utilize.

Below the lakes, there are picnic pavilions, 8 charcoal grills, open fields, and several playground areas. In the spring and summer, you can see kids playing organized baseball and soccer. There are also restrooms and water in the summer. If you bring your own net, you can use the sand volleyball court. There are also horseshoe pits as long as you remembered your horseshoes.
