Calhan is located approximately 30 minutes from the eastern part of Colorado Springs with beautiful views of Pikes Peak. With an elevation of 6558 feet, it enjoys mild temperatures and weather. It is home to the El Paso County Fair where 4H kids gather every summer to show off their animals and projects.
Many of the homeowners have at least 5 acres, but it is not uncommon for land owners to have 35 acres plus. Manufactured homes abound in this area, but for the right price (mid $200’s) you can have a wood frame home on 5 acres. Thirty five acres of land starts in the mid $50’s. You would need to add the home, well, and septic system, but you would have room to roam and lots of privacy.
The town of Calhan has several gas stations, an elementary/middle/high school, several restaurants and services, churches, and miscellaneous businesses. It has a real small town feeling.
