HISTORY OF BRIARGATE

In 1977, developers, Lew Christensen and John Venezia pieced together nearly 10,000 acres of prime Colorado Springs Colorado real estate--former cattle ranches owned by R.E. Johnson and Fred and Macelle Wolf--to create the original plan for the tremendously successful Briargate community of homes in Colorado Springs.  Eventually, the project was scaled back and half the property was spun off into smaller subdivision.

Today, Briargate offers almost 9,500 acres of beautiful Colorado Springs homes, parks, trails, mixed-use amenities, a state-of-the-art recreational facility, and more.

Briargate Station is located within the Briargate master-planned community of Colorado Springs CO real estate.
